Overview

‘Majestic Gujrat with Maharashtra’ is a well-designed itinerary, which give you the chance to explore some of the most popular places of Gujrat and Maharashtra. The "Jewel of the West”, Gujrat is one of the most exuberant costal state of India, located on the country's western coast, which is Rich in every sense, such as Gujarat has much to offer such as crafts, history and natural beauty. You will get chance to explore the major heritage sites along with crumbled remains, World Heritage Sites, forts, mosques, temples and palaces.

During this tour you will explore some of the stunning places of the region such as Lonavala, Khandala, Mahabaleshwar and Alibagh. These towns offers an exquisite and stunning view of the surrounding lush-green valleys, soothing sound of the water hitting the rocks. It also give you the chance to explore the two renowned World Heritage Site: Ajanta and Ellora Caves.

During this tour you will also get an opportunity to explore the major attractions of Mumbai as well. The duration of the tour is 14 nights and 15 days, covering the places such as Ahmedabad, Jambughoda, Uthelia, Bhavnagar, Gondal, Wankaner, Mumbai, Khandala, Lonavala, Mahabaleshwar and Alibagh.

Itinerary

Day 01: Ahmedabad (Arrival) – Jambughoda (By Road-173 Kilometres)

Upon arrival at Ahmedabad airport/ railway station, meet our representative, after welcome, drive to Jambughoda. On arrival, check in to your pre booked hotel. Rest day is free at leisure.
Overnight stay at Jambughoda.

Day 02: Jambughoda  Sightseeing

Today after breakfast, proceed for a full day sightseeing tour of Jambughoda, explore Jambughoda Wildlife sanctuary. Then proceed to visit Bhilala and Bayaka tribal villages to witness the traditional culture and lifestyle.
Stay overnight in the Jambughoda.

Day 03: Jambughoda – Utelia (By Road-204 Kilometres)Sightseeing

Post breakfast, leave by road for Uthelia via Champaner. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and home to more than hundred architectural edifices. Upon arrival at Utelia, check in at your pre booked hotel. Rest day is free at leisure.

Day 04: Utelia – Bhavnagar (By Road-104 Kilometres)Sightseeing

Post breakfast in the morning, excursion to Harappan Era, located at Lothal. It is one of the most prominent cities of the ancient Indus valley civilisation, dating from 3700 BCE.

Thereafter, proceed towards Bhavnagar, a historical town. In the evening, visit the Museum and the local markets.
Stay overnight in Bhavnagar.

Day 05: Bhavnagar – Palitana – Bhavnagar (By Road-55 Kilometres)(Excursion Tour)

Today early morning, drive towards Palitana. On the way, visit Shetrunjaya Hill, located at 2000 feet. The town has approximately 863 temples with carved pillars, arches and ornamented idols, which dates back to the 11th century.
Overnight stay in Bhavnagar.

Day 06: Bhavnagar – Gondal (By Road-163 Kilometres)Sightseeing

After breakfast, proceed to Gondal by road. Upon arrival in Gondal, check in at your pre booked hotel. Take rest for a while.
In the evening, visit the Naulakha Palace, the oldest extant palace, which was established in the 17th century. Naulakha Palace is renowned for its stone carvings and exquisite Jarokha balconies.

Day 07: Gondal - Wankaner (By Road-101 Kilometres)Sightseeing

Today after breakfast, drive to Wanakner. En-route explore the tourist attractions in Rajkot which include Watson Museum and Rashtriya Shala. After sightseeing, return back to the hotel.

Upon arrival in Wankaner, check in to the hotel. After freshen up, explore the Palace Museum and the local village.

Day 08: Wankaner – Ahmedabad (By Road-173 Kilometres)Sightseeing

After having an early breakfast, proceed for Ahmedabad by road. On reaching Ahmedabad, check-in at your hotel. Post lunch, proceed for sightseeing tour of Ahmedabad, and visit the Calico Museum of Textile. This is one of India's finest specialized museums. Then visit the other major tourist attractions such as the Gandhi Ashram, Sidi Sayed Mosque, Bhadra Fort and the Kankaria Lake.

Day 09: Ahmedabad -Mumbai  (By flight)Sightseeing

Today after breakfast, proceed to Ahmedabad airport to board flight to Mumbai.Upon arrival in Mumbai, meet our representative, after welcome proceed to the hotel. Mumbai is one of the 6th largest and populated Megacity of the world which is known as the financial, commercial and entertainment capital of India. The city is renowned for its vibrant lifestyle, which conceded as the city that never sleeps.

Check in to the hotel. Rest day is free at leisure. Enjoy the nightlife of the colourful city, explore the Chowpatty beach and test the mouth-watering street foods.

Day 10: Mumbai  Sightseeing

Today after breakfast, proceed for sightseeing in and Mumbai. You will visit the major tourist attractions such as Prince of Wales Museum, Hanging Gardens, Juhu Beach, Gateway of India and Marine Drive. Later Visit the Elephanta Caves, on Elephanta Island, transports you back 6th and 7th century centuries. The magnificent rock-cut carvings here are some of the most spectacular you will get to see anywhere. After sightseeing return back to the hotel.

Day 11: Mumbai – Lonavala (By Road-83 Kilometres)Sightseeing

After breakfast, proceed to the Lonavala, it is a very popular and beautiful hill station of Maharashtra which is located between the two cities Pune and Mumbai. The town offers an exquisite and stunning view of the surrounding lush-green valleys, soothing sound of the water hitting the rocks. It is also popular for the fresh chikis.  

Upon arrival, check in to your pre booked hotel. After freshen up, proceed to visit Karla and Bhaja Caves. Return back to the hotel in the evening.
Overnight stay in Lonavala.

Day 12: Lonavala –Khandala (By Road- 5 Kilometres)Sightseeing

Today after breakfast, drive for Khandala. It is another beautiful hill station of Maharashtra, located on the foothill of the Western Ghats at a height of 550 meters above sea level. Located between the two cities Pune and Mumbai.

The town offers stunning view of the surrounding lush-green valleys. Upon arrival check in to the hotel. After freshen up, proceed to explore the Bhushi Dam and enjoy the beutiful environment of Khandala. Return back to the hotel in the evening.

Day 13: Lonavala – Mahabaleshwer(By Road-181 Kilometres)Sightseeing

After breakfast, drive to Mahabaleshwer. It is another beautiful hill station located in Satara district in of Maharashtra. This amazing place is located on the foothill of western Ghats.  As you reach, complete the check-in formalities.

After freshen up, visit popular points such as Arthur’s Seat, Babbington Point and Sunset Point to admire some panoramic views of the surroundings. Visit Morarji Castle, which is renowned for its beautiful British architecture.
Taste the local renditions and so on. Overnight in Mahabaleshwar.           

Day 14: Mahabaleshwer - Alibagh (By Road-175 Kilometres)Sightseeing

Today after breakfast, transfer to Alibagh, by road. Alibagh is known for its clean and beautiful beaches. Upon arrival Check-into the hotel. After freshen up, explore the popular forts like Khanderi Fort, Kolaba Fort and Undheri Fort. Kihim beach, Akshi beach are two of the very popular beaches of Alibagh. Stay overnight in Alibagh.

Day 15: Alibagh - Mumbai Airport (By Road-99 Kilometres)

Today is the last day of the tour. Post- breakfast, get an assisted transfer to Mumbai airport for boarding the flight for your onward journey.
